If you are just curious about my story, you're in the right spot.

My name is María Lourenzo. I am pretty sure I already told you that on the homepage, but I figured it was worth repeating. You know. Just in case you weren’t paying attention or something.

Anyway, this is the “About” page, so I should probably tell you my story.

It is hard to write about yourself in a few words, as whatever we would write seems to be inadequate to the real life we have behind ourselves. Who am I? That is a really difficult question to answer. To make it short: I am I plus my circumstances; and all my contradictions.

I am a .... Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious human being from A Coruña (Galicia); who works as a clinical psychologist.

By most people’s standards, I am pretty liberal and have got a peculiar sense of humor. By my own standards, I am a kind of woman who has that certain “je ne sais quoi” and just thinks everyone should be more willing to consider how other people feel or how they want to be treated.

I am captivated by the study of people and relationship dynamics; and I have many different interests. I am interested in Psychology, Medicine, Neuroscience, Neurology, Sociology, Biology, Philosophy, History, Politics, Photography, Literature, … Well, just about everything. I am a curious grown up child.

In my spare time, I sometimes take photographs, I sometimes draw, I sometimes paint, I sometimes read, I sometimes write, I sometimes cook, I sometimes listen to music, I sometimes dig through record stores looking for punk or classic rock albums, I sometimes go outdoors on nature, I sometimes … – I cannot just do one thing and don’t have enough free time.

I believe that I have to stop typing at this moment, or else will never get done.
